Az aszfalt királyai (2019)

IMDb: 8.1 | https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1950186/

Port.hu: Oscar-winning actors Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in this film based on a true story, in which visionary car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the daring, British-born race car driver, Ken Miles (Bale) join forces to battle corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own demons in order to build a revolutionary race car for the Ford Motor Company that can defeat Enzo Ferrari’s cars at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Tolvajtempó (2000)

IMDb: 6.5 | https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0187078/

Port.hu: Every profession has its stars: when you need a car thief, there’s no one better than Memphis (Nicolas Cage). He’s fast, precise, reliable, and nothing is impossible for him. But this time, even he doesn’t believe it can be done. He has to steal fifty well-guarded luxury cars in a single night and drive them to a safe location. He’d say no right away if it weren’t for the fact that the client is the mafia and the stakes are his younger brother’s life. The team quickly comes together, and events spiral out of control at turbo speed, with chases, stunts, lies, betrayals, and crashes following one another at a dizzying pace.

Need for Speed (2014)

IMDb: 6.4 | https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2369135/

Port.hu: Tobey, a car mechanic, races in race cars. When he finds himself on the brink of bankruptcy, he reluctantly teams up with Dino Brewster, a wealthy and arrogant former NASCAR driver. However, Brewster double-crosses him, and Tobey is wrongfully sent to prison. Two years later, he is released from prison and seeks revenge on Dino. The infamous De Leon race comes in handy for this. But to make it to the race in time, he must overcome every obstacle—including the cops and Dino’s men—as he races from the East Coast to the West Coast. Based on the popular video game.

John Wick (2014)

IMDb: 7.4 | https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2911666/

Port.hu: John Wick (Keanu Reeves) longs for a quiet life. He wants to spend his days in solitude: his dog, his sports car, and his empty, cold apartment are enough for him—he doesn’t need anything more. But a retired hitman can’t rest. And when he’s attacked, he doesn’t stand idly by. He pulls out his long-hidden weapons and sets out on a bloody campaign of revenge. A single man fights against an entire army of gangsters and hitmen, and New York becomes a veritable battlefield. And in this insane, bloody clash, it’s still unclear who will prevail: the legion of killers or the lone warrior. After all, he is John Wick.

A chicagói tanú (1968)

IMDb: 7.4 | https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062765/

Port.hu: Frank Bullitt is hired by an ambitious politician, Chalmers, to guard a witness who is to be questioned in a mafia trial. Bullitt and his partners take turns guarding the witness in a run-down hotel room. That night, two unknown gunmen break into the room and critically wound the witness. Chalmers cares about nothing more than keeping the witness alive until the trial, from which he hopes to gain great political success. Bullitt, on the other hand, is determined to find out who revealed the hideout to the hitmen.

Halálos iramban – Tokiói hajsza (2006)

IMDb: 6.0 | https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0463985/

Port.hu: Sean Boswell is a true outsider, a reckless racer in the speed-fueled underworld of illegal nighttime street races. But when things get too hot under his tires, he’s forced to move in with his father, a military officer stationed in Tokyo, to avoid prison. In this foreign country, he feels even more like an outsider amid the unfamiliar customs and unknown laws. It doesn’t take long, however, for him to get back into the action when another American guy, Twinkie, introduces him to the world of illegal drift racing. The simple drag races of the past are replaced by a genre of tire-squealing, skidding action, in which he must perfect the delicate balance between acceleration and sliding through hairpin turns and serpentine roads. In his first race, Sean accidentally challenges the king of drifting, who has ties to the Japanese mafia, the Yakuza. The price of defeat is high: Sean is forced to work for the criminal organization.

Aszfaltégetés (2021)

IMDb: 5.1 | https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6527456/

Port.hu: After his wedding went up in smoke, Roy accepts the challenge from his new rival and competes for his fiancée at the legendary Nürburgring racetrack in Germany.

Port.hu: Brent Magna, a former race car driver, sees his peaceful, quiet life turned upside down in an instant when his wife is kidnapped. The mysterious kidnapper, however, makes strange demands, and Brent must follow all of his instructions. To do so, Brent is given a Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake. He is forced to race against time if he wants to see his beloved safe and sound again. On top of that, Brent knows that his invisible assailant is watching his every move.

Bónusz: Drakulics elvtárs (2019)

IMDb: 6.7 | https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7759362/

Port.hu: From the writer-director of *The Divine Shift*’s crazy idea—in which a vampire visits 1970s Hungary and the secret service tries to expose him— a comedy with pitch-black humor, which, with an exceptionally strong cast, memorable visuals, and a plot full of twists and turns, invites viewers to a blood-pumping cinematic experience. It’s a powerful antidote to boredom.
